Esther came to prominence supporting the team as a member of the mechanical team.  Her innovative thinking, knowledge & work rate have been a critical factor in the team’s recent successes. Quaintmere decided she would like to test the cars she was working on to gain a better understanding of what the driver feels, after getting a taste for it she then wanted to do a race!

Esther's Debut race was at Silverstone in the hot seat of one of the teams Vauxhall Nova GTE`s to compete in the 750 Motor Club in the Classic Stock Hatch Championship.

An excellent qualifying saw Quaintmere line up 19th from the 23 entrants in Race 1 at a track she had never set rubber on previously.

In race 1, her first ever attempt at a standing start dropped her to 22nd, though this only served to motivate the debutant as she charged through to finish 18th at the flag.

Race 2 was more of the same, an awkward first lap spent avoiding contact and spinning cars dropped Quaintmere back to then pursue and have a race long battle with Craig Emmerson eventually taking him on the last lap for another 18th.

As is tradition Quaintmere thanked the Marshalls on the in lap after each race, and this video of a very excited driver has at the current time over 21,000 views on Facebook.

Quaintmere joined Pip Hammond in 2018 to race in Roadsports at Cadwell Park securing an excellent podium in Hammonds Nova GTE, a first podium for the teams resident engineer who is now chasing an overall class win.

2019 saw Esther compete in ad hoc races as she successfuly completed her Masters degree. A run out in the 24hr 2CV race at Snetterton and duties for the Club Enduro Boxster were particular highlights.
