PDC Racing League iRacing

SEASON 5

Our league runs in partnership with RS Components and its primary purpose is to enhance STEM learning and engagement.

Inclusivity is key, anyone can sim race and everyone can learn via the process. For many it is the first step to a role in Automotive, Motorsport, Engineering, Design and many other industries.

Car Setup sheets will be taken to primary school visits and the young persons cars will be raced on a live stream with feedback given on how the cars handle. What does harder or softer suspension do? How does tyre pressure affect tyres? What role do aerodynamics play? Who is your driver? Can your car win?

Get in touch for further information.

The league hosts some real racers, some sim racers and those who just enjoy being involved All are welcome to join and be part of an exciting community that seeks to support everyone within.

RACE WEEK Report

The final round had everything, one thing it had more than most was contact. The viewing public were treated to a 2 hour display of smash and grab as all 3 titles were hard fought for.

Division 1 was settled in the clerks office as Chris Knox took the title following Rhys Saunders expulsion from Race 1. Knox a deserved champion after topping most stats tables and coming back from an awful week at Laguna Seca, not forgetting his last to first display at Daytona. Micallef 2nd and Fast Freddy 3rd.

Saunders has been rapid in his first season and was unlucky to drop out of the top 3 in the championship despite having the most fastest laps in the 5 weeks. Knox and Micallef were also given time penalties on the night. Ryan Micallef was the benefactor of his team mates demise as he jumped up to 2nd in the championship after a solid 2 wins, a great return after a 16 points week 1. Ben Constanduros has been quick all season and finally luck was with him to gain a maiden podium as Gavin Johnson also shared the top 3 for the first time this season. James Holman was mega consistent again to help Motorsport on Tour in the teams standings. Dan Blake took a solid win in race 3 and his first of Season 5 to help Year one on.

Division 2 was won by Ian Court, convincingly in the end after a good last round with 3 wins. Jake Conway had technical issues that halted his challenge and confirmed 2nd and Adam Gale was held back by contact but retaind 3rd, Court has been strong throughout and made no mistake at Silverstone. Worthy of note is Alex Hall in his best season to date and now the all time Forever Forward King in the stats table. Martina Ward also gave an excellent showing in her debut season.

The teams championship went to the wire. FastR Esports White (Knox / Gale) took it by 3 points from Motorsport on Tour (Holman / Court) with Year One (Blake / Saunders) 3rd,

Adam Gale got a title and 3rd in Division 2 and Chris Knox did the double in Teams and Division 1 and defended his Season 4 Title with FastR retaining the teams title. Div 2 champion Court and consistent Holman took a deserved 2nd with Blake and Saunders taking 3rd.

AND FINALLY…

We’re using our main race budget to pay for streaming and commentary to cover those costs.

There are only a couple of leagues paying for this that we know of and it feels like the right thing to do for self-employed members of the motorsport community.

The league remains free to enter – iRacing has plenty of paywalls of its own – and all are welcome to continue to compete for free! But if you feel you and/or your partners benefit from the stream (make sure we have all the info to ensure you do!) and only if feel able and inclined to support us in running these events, then please consider supporting us.

It’s a pay-what-you-like, one-off system – no subscription.
